Course Formats

Courses may be offered according to the following schedule:

  • Monday evenings in the Spring. Face-to-face sessions are in Pearson 007 at 7 PM.
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Summer. You attend face-to-face at 5 PM or 6:30 PM in Pearson 007.
  • Monday evenings in the Fall. Face-to-face sessions are in Pearson 007 at 7 PM.
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Winter. You attend face-to-face at 5 PM or 6:30 PM in Pearson 007.

Course Format

EDUC 456/656: eLearning

To accommodate the needs of adult learners, the eLearning course is offered in a hybrid course format. The term hybrid means that the course combines online learning with face-to-face classroom sessions. Online you will happily find all of the learning resources, tutorials, instructional videos, assignments, and the discussion forum used in this course. In addition to these online materials, optional face-to-face sessions are held in the Pearson 007 computer lab. When this course is taught in the Fall or Spring semester, these face-to-face sessions happen Mondays at 5 PM or 6:30 PM. During Winter or Summer, they happen on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5 PM or 6:30 PM.

During the Fall 2011 semester, these optional classroom sessions will be held in the computer lab in Pearson 007 on the following dates and times:

To reduce driving and gasoline consumption, students from Southern Delaware can attend the face-to-face sessions via videoconferencing. These videoconferences are hosted on the Adobe Connect network. To use Adobe Connect, all you need is a Web browser with the latest version of Flash installed. To enter the Adobe Connect classroom for this course, log on to Sakai, click the tab for EDUC 456/656, and follow the link to the EDUC 456/656 Adobe Connect classroom.
