Google Start Page

Google Apps has a Start Page service that you can use to provide a single Internet address to access your email, calendar, docs, and sites, all from a single page that works like a portal into all your Google Apps. Here at the University of Delaware, however, UD has decided to not use the Start Page service. Instead, when you log on to googleapps.udel.edu, you get your email displayed, with links you can follow to see your Calendar, Documents, Contacts, or Sites.

To find out more about the benefits, features, and reasons for using a Google Start Page, follow this link to the Google Start Page tutorial. Then you can think about whether you will want to create a Start Page for your Google Apps deployment, or skip setting up a Start Page, in which case users will be taken to their Google Mail upon logging in.

If you have not yet learned how to get your Google Apps domain, follow this link to the Google Apps Overview.
