The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program offers programs in a variety of formats. Each semester, lunchtime seminars are offered on both personal and job-related issues. Support groups that run from six to eight weeks cover a range of topics including handling grief and loss, coping with separation and divorce, enhancing self-esteem, parenting, drug and alcohol relapse prevention, and dealing with anger, and living with serious chronic health problems. Individualized training programs can be designed to meet the needs of a department or unit and special events are co-sponsored with other units on campus.
