Scanning An Image With The HP ScanJet 4C on PC Venezia

Scanning from Paint Shop Pro 6

To scan an image:

  1. Open Development Tools folder icon on the desktop.
  2. Open Paint Shop Pro 6
  3. Place your image in the HP Scanjet 4C, face down in the top right corner of the scanner (there is an arrow). [Double-check for green light ON in front of scanner]
  4. Click on File, Import, TWAIN, then Acquire…in that order.
  5. The scanner will now scan the image and a new window (Desk Scan II) showing the scan will appear.
  6. A box will appear around the image that is selected. If you wish to add or subtract some of the image, you can manually select portions of the image by using the crosshairs to click and drag around the desired area of the image.
  7. Click on Final. Wait as your image is transported automatically from Desk Scan II to Paint Shop Pro.
  8. Close the Desk Scan II window
  9. Congratulations, You can now edit and save what you’ve scanned! (See Below)

OPTIONS FOR EDITING

I. Printing Image to Page Size:

  1. Click on File
  2. Click on Print Preview
  3. Click on Setup
  4. Check the box labeled Fit to page, OK
  5. Print

II. Saving the image to a disk:

  1. Click on file
  2. Save As
  3. Select drive A:\
  4. Change file name if desired
