2. Double click on OmniPagePro8.
*If an Error message box appears, click
enter, click on Programming tools, double click on
OmniPagePro8 again, and wait
about 25 seconds.
3. Place document to be scanned in scanner in upper right corner.
4. Click on the first icon placed after the Auto icon. it should look like this:
*If the first icon does not look like
this, click on the arrow to its right and select SCAN IMAGE, then
click on the icon again.
*If a dialogue box appears, SCAN IMAGE
is not selected. CANCEL to exit the box, click on the
arrow to its right of the icon
and select SCAN IMAGE, then click on the icon again.
You will hear the whir of the scanner. When the scanned text appears on the screen, in 10-15 seconds, you are ready to continue.
5. Click on the second icon placed after the Auto icon. It should look like this :
*If the second icon does not look like
this, click on the arrow to its right, and select AUTOZONE,
then click on the icon again.
*If a dialogue box appears,AUTOZONE
is not selected. CANCEL to exit the box, click on the arrow
to its right of the icon and
select AUTOZONE, then click on the icon again.
This step is very quick, almost instantaneous. When borders appear around the paragraphs of text, you are ready to continue.
6. Click on the third icon placed after the Auto icon. It should look like this :
*If the third icon does not look
like this, click on the arrow to its right, and select PERFORM OCR,
then click on the icon again.
*If a dialogue box appears, PERFORM
OCR is not selected. CANCEL to exit the box, click on the
arrow to its right of the icon
and select PERFORM OCR, then click on the icon again.
When the scanned text appears in large type, you are ready to continue.
7. Click on the fourth icon placed after the Auto icon. It should look like this :
*If the fourth icon does not look like
this, click on the arrow to its right, and select SAVE AS, then
click the icon again.
*If a dialogue box appears, SAVE AS
is not selected. CANCEL to exit the box, click on the arrow to
its right of the icon and select
SAVE AS, then click on the icon again.
A SAVE AS message box will appear, you will need to name
your file. It will be saved as a word document under the drive C. However,
you can choose to save it under another drive by clicking the arrow to
the right of SAVE IN box. Finally, you can choose to save it as a different
type by clicking the arrow to the right of SAVE AS TYPE box.
Click ENTER to save.
