Accessing Poco a Poco

A. From a Windows 95 computer (see below if you are on a Win3.1 machine)

       1.    Poco a Poco for Windows 95 is located in the Spanish folder in the Italian cluster, the German cluster,
        and Marseille and Lyon in the French cluster.  If the Spanish folder is not open, double click on it in order to
        open it

        2.    Look for the Poco a Poco icon (a colorful alphabet block) and double click on it.

        3.    If you receive a START window message that says “Cannot find the working folder…”, ignore it and
        click yes to proceed.

        4.    If you see a message telling you it is necessary to exit Windows because it's a DOS program,
        click YES.

        5.    The computer will then exit into DOS.  Only text commands will appear on the screen, which will be
        black  Do not  touch any keys while the program is loading.  It may take up to a full minute.  The red
        Poco a Poco title page will appear and you can then select your lesson.
 
 

B. From a Windows 3.1 computer (see above if you are on a Windows 95 machine)

        1.   Poco a Poco is located in the Spanish cluster and in all computers on the French cluster except for
        Marseilles and Lyon.

        2. To run Poco a Poco, you must exit Windows.  To do this, Click File (in the upper left top menu), then
        select Exit Windows.  A dialog box asks if you want to exit Windows; click Yes.

        3. From the c:\ prompt, type:

                                        poco

        and press ENTER.  This will take you to the Poco a Poco title screen where you can continue on to select
        your self-test or activity.

        4. When you are finished and have exited Poco a Poco you will be at the c:\prompt.  Type:

                                        wino

        And press ENTER.  This will take return the computer to its original state.
