Transparent Language - Introduction to Italian Language Tutorial
This CD-ROM is an introduction to Italian. The main instruction is a series of segments in Italian, that introduce you to the language (in Italian), and teach you about the language (in Italian).
Text is presented in Italian, and a native speaker reads the text as you click on the sentences and then on the audio button. Scroll down to see an illustration of the main page. As you read and listen, you can:
- see a translation of the sentence or clause
- see a translation of a highlighted word
- see the meaning of phrases
- see comments on the grammatical role of the word
- write your own notes about the sentence or clause
I found this a very orderly way to listen and read Italian. Phrases and words repeated over and over again, in the context of instruction on the language. There are games on the main menu bar but I have not exlored these yet. Rae Stabosz, 10/99
