Minors in French Studies
How can students earn a French
Studies Minor ?
Students can earn a minor in
french studies by participating in a semester study in France.
What is new and different
about the French Studies Minor?
The Studies minor consists of
21 credits, 15 of which are earned abroad, and 6 of which are taken on
campus before departure; the traditional French Minor requires 18-21 credits,
all of which ar normally taken on campus. In order to earn a French Studies
Minor, a student must participate in a semester abroad program sponsored
by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
How is the Studies Minor advantageous
to students?
Because the Studies Minors
were designed with the University of Delaware study abroad programs in
mind, all of the requirements for the French Studies Minors can be met
during the semester overseas.
The experience of living makes
the fRench Studies Minor an invaluable asset in many disciplines
and careers.
