FRENCH STUDIES

The Period Studies option is for students who have a particular interest in a specific historical period (e.g. Middle Ages, Renaissance, Twentieth Century, etc.). The Period Studies option allows students to take several extra-departmental courses in one historical period.

Requirements for Option III - Period Studies:
  1. FREN211 
  2. FREN301, FREN302, or FREN355
  3. FREN301, FREN302, or FREN355
  4. FREN4__ (Literature)
  5. FREN4__ (Literature)
  6. FREN4__
  7. FREN3__ or FREN4__ (Language)*
  8. FREN2__, FREN3__, or FREN4__ (The appropriate civilization course -- FREN308, FREN325 or FREN326 is strongly recommended.)
  9. Five courses chosen from:

    FLLT
    FREN207
    FREN208
    HIST
    ARTH
    PHIL
    POSC
    MUSC
    All courses whose principal coverage falls within the period chosen.
