Actividad Escrita #1, para el 23 de febrero:  Write one paragraph (double spaced, typed) between 150-200 words.  Use the subjunctive in adjective clauses to write a classified ad.  First describe yourself and your apartment or dorm room briefly in the present indicative, then use the subj. to describe the type of roommate for whom you are looking.   Use verbs like gustar to indicate your preferences. This is due, as indicated in the course syllabus, the day of the chapter 7 exam, STAPLED TO YOUR WORKBOOK CHAPTER 7 (tear out workbook chapter).

Actividad Escrita #2, para el 16 de marzo: Read the following poem ("Instantes" by Jorge L. Borges).  Thenwrite your own (double spaced, typed) between 150-200 words. Use the imperfect subjunctive and the conditional in hypothetical if clauses AND using Borges' "style", write your own version of the poem, using ONE of the following contexts:

• "Si pudiera vivir nuevamente mi vida en la escuela secundaria..."
• "Si pudiera vivir nuevamente mi primer semestre universitario..."
• "Si pudiera vivir nuevamente mi niñez..."

Actividad Escrita #3, para el 13 de abril:  Write one paragraph (double spaced, typed) between 150-200 words.  Use the vocabulary from En Contacto, imágenes y negocios pp.260-261 and compra y venta p.271, to create an article or advertisement describing a new product or service that you have invented.  This is due, as indicated in the course syllabus, the day of the chapter 10 exam, STAPLED TO YOUR WORKBOOK CHAPTER 10 (tear out workbook chapter).

Actividad Escrita #4, para el 9 de mayo:  Write one paragraph (double spaced, typed) between 150-200 words.  Use a variety of tenses (and at least five examples of the subjunctive mood) to describe your career and other major goals for the future.  Please discuss what role the Spanish language will play in your life beyond this course.   This is due, as indicated in the course syllabus, on May 9, STAPLED TO YOUR WORKBOOK CHAPTER11 (tear out workbook chapter).
