静 夜 思                                              Jìng yè sī

李白                                                  Lǐ bái

床 前 明 月 光,                        Chuáng  qián  míng  yuèguāng,

疑 是 地 上 霜.                        Yí shì dì shàng  shuāng.

举 头 望 明 月,                        Jǔ tóu  wàng  míng  yuè,

低 头 思 故 乡.                        Dī tóu sī gù xiāng.

Night Thoughts

I wake and moonbeams play around my bed

Glittering like hoarfrost to my wondering eyes

Upwards the glorious moon I raise my head

Then lay me down and thoughts of home arise

登 鹳 雀 楼                                                Dēng  guàn  què lóu

王 之 涣                                   wáng  zhī huàn

白 日 依 山 尽,                        Bái  rì yī shāng j ìn,

黄 河 入 海 流.                        Huáng  hé rù hǎi  liú.

欲 穷 千 里 目,                        Yù qióng qiān  lǐ mù,

更 上 一 层 楼.                        Gèng  shàng  yì céng  lóu.

On the Stork Tower

The sun beyond the mountains glows;

The Yellow River seawards flows.

You can enjoy a grander sight

By climbing to a greater height.
