Our Arth 338 instructor, Tomás Gallareta Negrón, is the director of this AZ (archaeological zone), arguably the most beautiful we will see.  The arch or portal vault at Labná is one of the largest and most ornate.  It is believed that Labná was home to over 3,000 Maya way back around A.D.850.
