Practical Oral/Written Expression:
  In Spanish. Taught abroad only. Strengthens skills in grammar and vocabulary in preparation for advanced courses. Topics of cultural interest will be presented through readings of articles from newspapers and magazines published in Puebla.  Discussions of these topics in Spanish will serve to enhance our understanding of the Latin American world, especially Mexico.  Class will consist of oral exposes, discussion of articles, textual analysis and compositions. Lectures given on certain class days by local professionals and experts are an integral part of this course, as are evening events and short excursions to sites of interest, including a Service Learning Experience to an indigenous community..
Prerequisites: Any two 200-level Spanish courses conducted in Spanish.
Spanish minors:
this course can substitue for the third 200-level course.
