These pictures were taken during the Jan '98 program to Costa Rica.  The Cloud Forest is about an hour north from San José.  We leave early in the morning so that we can get our hiking and swimming done before the clouds and rain roll in.  Our guide will tell you about the flora and fauna native to this unique environment--itty-bitty-little frogs, beautiful butterflies, gorgeous hummingbirds, army ants, leaf-cutters, quetzals......  You'll also learn first hand (among other things) how come it is said that people can disappear into the jungle in the blink of an eye (which doesn't sound half as threatening as saying that the jungle devours things!!!!).
