12th mid-Atlantic Chinese Speech Competition
Two of our students were awarded for their excellent performance at the 12th mid-Atlantic Chinese Speech competition hosted by the University of Maryland on April 15th. Christopher Sylvia won an Award of Excellence and Thien-Chan Vu won a Third Award respectively. This speech contest was participated by the talented students from Georgetown, the University of Virginia, the University of George Washington, George Mason, Brigham Young University, the University of Maryland, and the University of Delaware. The Chinese Program, in collaboration with the Confucius Institute, will organize the 2012 Chinese Speech Contest on Friday, April. Students at all levels in the Chinese Program will participate in the competition. All are welcome!
