Class Descriptions
Boot Camp: Front and center! High energy, intense cardio training guaranteed to boost your energy and metabolism to new heights. Easy to follow step moves, plyometrics, BOSU, jump rope, running drills, abdominal work, and push-ups. Drop and give it your all!
Butts and Guts: Strengthen, tone, and condition your "backside," legs, and core! This class targets the gluteal muscles, hamstrings, quadriceps, and inner/outer thighs. This class also uses safe abdominal and lower back exercises to improve alignment, posture, tone, and strengthen your core.
Cardio Jam: An aerobic dance class that is hip-hop and lating flavored with hints of house and pop genres. Cardio Jam is designed for those who need a change to their regular aerobic workout. It is low impact, but definitely not low calorie burn! This class uses a variety of dance moves, like mumbo cha chas, rock step, grapevines, samba, etc. and is set to music and pulled together for a grand finale!
Cardio Muscle: This
intense cardio and strength-training workout will get your blood pumping and your body toned using steps, hand weights, stability balls, and more. A must for any fitness program!
Core Conditioning: A class that focuses on training the core muscles of the body while giving you a great workout. The core-muscles stabilize the spine, pelvis, and shoulder and provide a solid foundation for movement in the arms and legs. Be ready to us the BOSU, stability ball, weights, mats, and almost anything else that will get your core in peak condition!
Hatha Yoga : This
form of yoga attempts to balance the mind and body through physical postures or "asanas," controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. Great for all fitness levels.
Kickboxing: An intense aerobic workout for all fitness levels that incorporates boxing, kickboxing, and martial art skills/drills performed to music. This class develops cardiovascular fitness, agility, strength, and power. Sure to be a knockout!
KoBu Power: It's a powerful workout based on the ancient martial art of Kobudo and Kenjutsu, the art of the Samurai. The modern aspect of KoBu is the use of ta weighted bar to enhance the cardio portion of the class while music sets the rhythm for the routine. It's a workout that will sculpt the body and reduce fat. Every movement in the KoBu workout is actually a self-defense technique.

Pilates: This class is based on the principles of core strength and stabilization as created by Joseph Pilates. This exercise system focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the total body through controlled movements engaging your body and mind, promoting physical harmony and balance for people of all ages and fitness levels. Give it a try.
Step & Abs: 45 minutes of a basic step routine and 15 minutes of abs. Get your cardio and abs in one workout!
UD Spin: A great option
for anyone looking to cross-train! This group workout takes indoor cycling
to the next level, with hill climbs, interval races, and much more-all
set to music to keep that motivation high. You choose your own resistance
level so all age groups and fitness levels are easily accommodated.

Weight Training for Women:
This course will introduce the basic concepts of weight training for
individuals with limited experience. This class is progressive so individuals
who are already versed in resistance training can still count on a good
workout! Appropriate for all fitness levels. *THIS CLASS REQUIRES SPECIFIC
REGISTRATION IN PERSON PRIOR TO THE START OF CLASS, NOT INCLUDED WITH
THE GENERAL FITNESS PASSES.
Yoga: Improve your overall strength and flexibility while also learning relaxation and breathing techniques to reduce stress. Great for all fitness levels and no experience necessary.
Yoga II: An active style of yoga that links poses together with the breath. This class is slightly more challenging than basic yoga, in that positions are held for longer amounts of time. Prior yoga experience is recommended.
Zumba: The new heat wave in aerobic exercise that's defined as being "Latin dance aerobics with an international flair." If you're looking for a high energy workout with motivating music, this class is for you! |
