    • Completing a PLUS or alternative loan application, filling out the paper Promissory note, and successfully passing the credit check, if applicable.

  • Remember that Federal Direct Loans are not automatically deducted on your semester bill; you must calculate it.

  • If you have a credit after Tuition, Fees, (and room and board, if applicable) on your semester bill, you may go to the University Bookstore to purchase your textbooks with your financial aid. If you have any trouble, please stop into our office for a book slip. You may do this even if your aid has not been disbursed into your account.
  • If you still have a credit on your account, you may request a refund to pay for off-campus housing or other educational-related expenses. You may do this after your financial aid has disbursed into your student account (usually the second week of the semester). We cannot pay funds earlier than the first day of classes.
  • To request a refund, access UDSIS, Look under the Finances section on UDSIS and click on the "Request a Refund" link.  For more information, visit Billing and Collection.
