SFS Calendar

JANUARY
  • 1st - New students should start completing the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • 3rd - Spring Semester payment due or first installment payment (25% of the balance) (financial aid is available as "pending" and you must report additional credits that are not available yet and/or make a payment by online check or mail). ALL Winter balances must be paid by this date
  • Third Day of Winter classes – Last day to drop a course without financial penalty. After this date, tuition and a $25 processing fee will be charged for change of registration
  • Mid-January - Spring 2012 Second Installment Bill Initiated
FEBRUARY
  • 3rd - Newly registered balance due date or Second installment payment due (50% of the balance)
  • First week in February – Spring classes begin
  • First day of classes - All late registrants must have balances paid
  • First week of classes - Pending aid will begin to be disbursed, refunds will be made available at www.udel.edu/studentrefund
  • First week of classes - All "pending aid" should now show as an actual credit and we expect to have received any previously reported credit
  • 2 weeks after start of classes - Last day to drop a course without financial penalty. After this date, tuition and a $25 processing fee will be charged for change of registration
  • Mid-February - Spring Third Installment Bills Initiated
MARCH
  • 3rd - Third installment payment due date (75% of the balance)
  • Mid-March – Incoming Freshman can expect their Financial Award via US Post Office
  • Mid-March – Returning students should start completing the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • Mid-March - Spring Final Installment Bills Initiated
APRIL
  • 3rd - Final Spring Payment Due Date (All BALANCES MUST BE PAID)
  • First week of April – Summer registration begins
  • Mid-April - Fall Registration begins
  • End of April - Apply for a Parent Plus loan through studentloans.gov to ensure credit approval (*important to note that rates are not set until July so an increase may have to be made if you intend to have this loan cover up to the total cost)
  • If approved, sign Parent Plus MPN at studentloans.gov
MAY
  • Mid-May - Any student registered for Summer I or pre-registered for Summer II will be sent email bill notification. Weekly eBills are issued as registration occurs up until the start of classes in June. (Due Date is first day of Summer classes)
  • End of May - Add a parent/guardian or any individual that should receive our email notifications through the Parent/Guardian Services site
JUNE
  • First Monday in June – Summer I session classes start
  • First day of Summer I classes - Summer billing payment due date (anyone registered for Summer I or pre-registered and billed for Summer II)
  • Third Day of Summer I classes – Last day to drop a course without financial penalty. After this date, tuition and a $25 processing fee will be charged for change of registration
  • Mid-June - New Student Orientation daily sessions begin
  • Mid-June - Students registered after the initial May billing for Summer II will be sent email bill notifications for the semester. Weekly bills are issued as registration occurs up until the start of classes in July.
  • End of June - Scholarship renewal and new financial aid awards will be evaluated. Email notification will be sent in early July.
JULY
  • Second Monday in July – Summer II session classes start
  • First day of Summer II classes - Summer II and any outstanding charges for the previous semester are due.
  • Third Day of Summer II classes – Last day to drop a course without financial penalty. After this date, tuition and a $25 processing fee will be charged for change of registration
  • Beginning of July – Tuition rates and fees become available for the upcoming Academic Year
  • Mid-July - Email notification of scholarship renewal and new financial aid awards will be sent
  • Mid-July - New Student Orientation daily sessions end
  • Mid-July - Look for email notification to all students and authorized parents/guardians to login to My Finances. Fall Statements including completed Financial Aid Awards will be available for viewing.
AUGUST

  • Last week in August - Classes begin for Fall term

DECEMBER
  • First week in December - Winter session payment due date (anyone registered and billed in November)
  • Mid-December - Spring (and late Winter) Billing Statements will be generated. (Due Date is First week in January)
