Distinguished Speaker Series
The "Fashioning Social Responsibility" distinguished lecture series hosted by the Fashion and Apparel Studies Department incorporates the department's broad interests in various aspects of social responsibility and sustainability (e.g., labor standards and working conditions, environmentally sustainable design, sustainable development through apparel production, socially responsible consumer behavior, influencers of negative body image, and others). Through this lecture series, we hope to expose a diverse campus and community-wide audience to a range of issues and perspectives associated with the fashion industry and encourage action around the ideas presented.
