List program changes for curriculum revisions:

1.  We wish to add Psyc 394, Cultural Psychology, as one of the options in our core group of Social Psychology courses majors and minors may take.

2.  We wish to delete Psyc 386, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, as an option in our core group of Social Psychology courses major/minor requirements.

List new courses required for the new or revised curriculum:

(Be aware that approval of the curriculum is dependent upon these courses successfully passing through the Course Challenge list. If there are no new courses enter “None”)

None.

Other affected units:

(List other departments affected by this new or revised curriculum.  Attach permission from the affected units.  If no other unit is affected, enter “None”)

None.  These changes are internal to the Psychology curricula for majors and minors.

Rationale:

(Explain your reasons for creating, revising, or deleting the curriculum or program.)

PSYC 394 reflects a focal teaching interest of two new faculty members and constitutes a core component of most undergraduate offerings in Social Psychology.  PSYC 386 has not been offered in many years and no longer fits our Social Psychology orientation.
