a.        Rationale for creation, revision, or deletion:

 

Over the past several years the Department of Political Science and International Relations has consistently had only three or four public administration minors per year.  By contrast, we typically have 80 to 90 political science minors per year.  We feel that three or four minors per year does not justify the resources necessary to keep the minor in place.  Therefore, we would like to discontinue the minor in public administration.  It should be noted that students especially interested in public administration now have the option of a concentration in public policy and public administration as part of our new major in political science.
