This form is a routing document for the approval of new and revised academic programs.  Page 2 will serve as an attachment to the Faculty Senate agenda.  Proposing department should complete form, attach as a cover page and forward to the college dean. a.  Rationale for creation, revision, or  deletion:

 

2.             The deletion of the following section of “Accompanying Chamber Music: Piano”  MUSC442, reflects the       actuality that MUSC441, (an accompanying course with goals that are unlike MUSC241)  is really repeated,                  but has been under the course number MUSC442.

 

Therefore, MUSC242, 341 and 342 have been collapsed into MUSC241 with the allowance to be repeated four times for credit and MUSC442 has been collapsed into MUSC441 with the allowance to be repeated one time for credit.

 

3.             MUSC364, Keyboard Literature II is no longer taught as part of the degree program.

 

Therefore, three credits of music electives will take the place of this course.
