Ty Austin
Director of Strategic Initiatives, DelACCESS Consortium

Ty Austin has more than 20 years of corporate and entrepreneurial management experience. He began his corporate career with Xerox and Dupont, before becoming an entrepreneur. He served as the Chairman of the Board of M-Cubed Information Systems, a privately held company that he co-founded in 1985, and served as president and CEO through 1995. M-Cubed was ranked in 1997 and 1998 on the Inc. 500 "list of fastest-growing U.S. privately held companies." The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recognized Mr. Austin and his partners as Delaware Small Business Persons of the Year. He was appointed by former Delaware Governor Carper to serve on the board of directors of Delaware Technology Park, Inc., which promotes economic development in the areas of biotechnology, information technology and advanced materials. He worked directly with the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and has served as one of 14 Delaware delegates to the White House Conference on Small Business. Mr. Austin graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Science in applied math, business and economics. He received his MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester with double concentrations in computers and information systems, and applied economics.
