I made sure I planned things so I would get to Germany with enough time left to take a day cruise on the Rhine. From Koblenz to Mainz on my last day before the flight home. I took this trip twice before -- in 1972 and 1973. |
| I spent most of this day contemplating the last month.
I couldn't believe how far I had come on this trip and that
I actually had pulled it all off. All the way from Shanghai
by train. Now I'm cruising on a river in Europe. One more
hotel this night, then a 15 minute trip by train to the airport
the next day.
