Executive English ProgramBusy executives and professionals whose schedules do not permit them to participate in a traditional eight-week program of study will find ELI's Executive English Program ideally suited to their needs and hectic lifestyles. Offering a combination of individual, small group, and targeted language instruction, the three-week course is especially designed for career professionals. Unique features of the program include:
Curriculum: Classes and private tutoring addresses listening, speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, writing, and reading skills through activities designed to reflect the language applications of executives and professionals, such as leading meetings, conducting negotiations, networking, interviewing, team problem solving, making presentations and speeches, and engaging in cross-cultural discourse. Within private tutoring sessions, our specialized Corporate ESL tutors are highly trained to work one-on-one to personalize the instruction based on each client's linguistic needs and goals. Executive Homestays: Participants in the Executive English Program may stay in the homes of families who members are either practicing or retired professionals themselves. The arrangement will provide both language reinforcement and stimulating companionship. Alternatively, managers may choose extended-stay suites in nearby hotels participating in the program. Cultural Program: A cultural program will be designed with input from each client prior to his or her arrival. Excursions may include trips to historical sites in major regional cities like New York City, Washington DC, or Philadelphia. This program is available six times throughout the year (July, September, November, January, March, and May). Flexible scheduling is permitted. Please contact the ELI (ud-eli@udel.edu) for more information.
