Intention Forms – How to Extend your I-20 Form?
If your I-20 will expire at the end of this session but you need to stay longer in order to finish your ELI program, you will need to extend your I-20.
To extend your I-20, you must attach a bank statement to your Intention Form and submit it to the ELI Admissions Office. After you have submitted both documents, the ELI will automatically extend your I-20.
Your new I-20 will be ready after the beginning of next session. If you plan to travel outside of the USA during session break, you will need an extended I-20 before you leave! For more information, click here.
Guidelines for the Bank Statement
- The bank statement must show $4,900 for each additional session you wish to attend.
- The bank statement must not be older than three months old.
- If your parents are paying for your studies, they can send a new bank statement directly to the ELI by e-mail (ud-eli@udel.edu) or fax (302-831-6765). IMPORTANT: your parents must write your name on the bank statement!
