Homestay Payment/Cancellation
Policy
- Payment of homestay fee is made directly to the homestay family
and is due on day of arrival and before the beginning of each new
session
- Additional fee rates are as follows:
- Temporary homestay
can be
arranged if your homestay family is not available immediately at
the time or day
of your arrival.
- Transportation to and from the airport are also
available, by our homestay family driver.
- The homestay family fee
is not normally
refundable; however this is left up to individual families based
on the circumstances.
- The charges for the home stay fees cover a two-month
period.
Pay date begins on the day of arrival. Homestay owners can charge
for the extra days upon the student’s departure. If there is a school
break between sessions, those days are counted as extra as well.
- If the student
asks to be moved to another homestay because of incompatibility
with the original selected homestay, we will move the student as
soon as
another homestay is available, and the unused portion of the homestay
fee will
be forwarded to the new homestay family.
- If a student chooses
to move out of the home stay for reasons other than incompatability,
for
example,
they found an apartment in which to move, they want to live
closer to the ELI, and choose to not wait until the end of the session
to move, they must pay their home stay owner for the entire session.
No refunds
for unused days in the current session.
- The homestay family
should
be notified two weeks in advance if a student is planning to
stay
longer.
