Sarah Petersen

Sarah Petersen began her English teaching career in the Peace Corps at a high school in the Central African Republic, where she lived for five years. Next she and her husband, Jerry, established a private center for English instruction in French Guiana (South America.) There Sarah taught English at all proficiency levels and to all age groups for ten years. At the English Language Institute since 2002, she has continued to teach a broad range of English learners through the ELI's diverse programs, including its Intensive English, Corporate English, public school ELL, foreign teacher training, International Teaching Assistant, and adult evening programs.

Sarah received her Bachelor's degree with honors from the College of Letters at Wesleyan University, a Master's degree in Education from Washington University and a second Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Southern Illinois University.
