Mary Beth WorrilowInstructor |
Mary Beth Worrilow came to the English Language Institute in 1988, while sharing her talents with the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Delaware where she was an instructor of Spanish. She came aboard the ELI full-time in 2000 to dedicate her time exclusively to teaching English as a Second Language. Although she has taught in most ESL subject areas and all levels, her passion lies in teaching Business English. Her academic achievements include a B.S in Business Administration and a B.A in Spanish from Gettysburg College, as well as an M.A in Spanish Peninsular Literature and an M.A in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Delaware.
Mary Beth recently pioneered the ELI’s first online course: Effective Business Writing for English Language Learners. This course is designed to help English language learners advance in their careers by improving their written English skills necessary for the global market. She finds teaching Business, in cyberspace and in the traditional classroom, both exciting and rewarding.
