Conditional Admissions Program (CAP)

Application Procedures for Undergraduate (Bachelor's) Level

These instructions are for applicants who are outside of the United States and who do NOT currently have an F-1 student visa. . If you are currently a student at the ELI and you wish to apply for CAP, please make an appointment to see Laurie Fuhrmann (lfuhrman@udel.edu).

  1. First, select a university program. To see the list of participating institutions, visit

  2. After you have chosen an undergraduate program at UD or one of the ELI’s CAP partners, you must complete the Application for Admission for that program.
    • For the University of Delaware Undergraduate Programs (Bachelor’s degree), complete the application that is online at http://admissions.udel.edu/apply/international.
    • For programs at CAP Partner Institutions other than the University of Delaware, please visit the website of the institution you have chosen and complete the appropriate application.

  3. For undergraduate applications, please send all supplemental application documents (ex: transcripts, letters of recommendation, bank statement, etc.) to Laurie Fuhrmann at the ELI.

  4. Download the CAP Application.

  5. Submit the completed CAP application to Laurie Fuhrmann at the ELI. You can send the form in the same envelope as your university supplemental application documents, or you can send it by fax. Our fax number is (001) 302.831.6765.

Application processing time: Once all documents have been received, CAP applications normally take 6 to 8 weeks to process.
