Hi. I am from São Paulo - Brazil. I participated in the ELI course in 1994 (from August to October). It was a very interesting and important experience to me. My teacher was Leslie. I improved a lot my English and made good friends in Newark. I would like to say you thanks a lot for all.

Hi.
This is Cesar Rodriguez. I studied at the ELI last summer (1999), at the American Law and Legal English Institute. I am very glad with Mr. Stevens, Chris Wolfe and Marie Gleason for all the support and the organization of the course. These studies help me to be admitted to study the M.A. in Public Administration at the George Washinton University (D.C.) Actually, I am looking for someone who can help me to find an ELI student who actually lives in Washington, D.C. to share a room or an apartment with him, or anyone who can help me to find an apartment. I hope Mr. Wolfe or anyone of my classmates of the ALLEI course 1999, read this.
Greeting from Mexico.

Hi Lowell,

It was a pleasure to read from you in the ELI Newsletter where i got your e-address. My name is LAWANY - i attended a summer course at the ELI in July-August 1985. We were 11 Togolese at that time on a USIA grant and we stayed at Christian Towers.

Each year ever since i've been getting the ELI Newsletter, which brings back to memory all the good time and experience we had with you all on the staff. But i cannot find any news from good people like Joe Matterer, Joan Lefebre, Lantoff, etc.

I can see now that the Institute has grown up into a big and great school! Congratulations to all of you.

A colleage with whom i stayed in the same room at Christian, Mr. KOUDJO Biova and (i) myself, have been appionted High School Principals since 1998 and we're always keeping contact.

Here the e-mail has just entered the country and i've just snatched an opportunity given to me by my son (aged 21) to send you this message. He --my son is likely to visit the usa on a boy scout camp in summer in N.Caralina from june 4-2000 to July 30-2000. I gave him your e-address so he can get in touch with you for any informations.

Well, extend my sincere greeting to all ELI Staff in Newark.

Thanks.
LAWANY N.

Hello, It´s a pleasure to contact the place where I spent one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I was there from January to April 1997. During those months I was able to improve my English and I had the chance of meeting new people from different countries at the same time. Now I´d like to contact some of the people I met there. I wish some day I have the opportunity to go back there.

Best wishes! Sergio Christensen

Dear Sirs,

I was an ELI student in 198l. I think the ELI was just starting at that time. However, I am so grateful to the English I learned there. Sometimes I feel very nostalgic about that time spent there. I am graduated in English and Social Studies. However, I have been teaching English since I finished my Advanced Course at the ELI. I wish I could receive your News Letter for we were the ones who started writing it then.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Antonildo
