When I first came here, I was counting days for the going back home time. Now I wish I could start from the beginning once again, because now I realise that we have been living in a lovely dream that is too good to be true. Now I realise how fortunate we have been for interacting with this sweet, kind and hardworking staff of the ELI. We are grateful to that peaceful, kind, but professional face of Dr Stevens. That warm and creative voice of Deb, the active bee. We will never forget that deep blue glamorous look of Baerbel, that look which whispers to everyone and says "Get the best you can out if this experience". We can still hear Bretts' loud voice that wakes Bilal up when he's trying to sleep. No one would ever forget that cheerful, encouraging smile of Janissa. The furnace where different cultures melt and form a tray that carries humanity as an output. The ELI is a brilliant idea of the expression of love to all human kind. The experience of the Host Family had a great impact on us .It got us acquainted with the authentic taste of the American culture and values. It made us believe how simple it is to build a common solid ground between two different cultures. My dear colleagues: When I first met you as a group I did not expect that I would add 19 names to my list of close friends .We have been a great group that could back anyone in need of support. Each and every member of this group has preserved a corner in my heart" can you imagine how many corners I have in my heart ". When you're not strong I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on, for no one can tell those of your needs that you don't let show... SO LEAN ON ME Ola Suhil Abdo, Jordan |
