EHS Safety Poster Contest

 

Health and safety in the workplace is something we should never take for granted. Everyone shares in this responsibility on a daily basis. We often hear of accidents that occur in the workplace or at home that could easily be avoided if the proper safety measures were taken. In an ongoing effort to emphasize the importance of safety awareness, Environmental Health & Safety recently held a safety poster design contest. Departments and individuals were encouraged to design a safety poster on lab, shop or personal home safety. A number of very creative posters were submitted and the top three posters were displayed at the Safety Committee Chair Recognition. First, second and third place posters were selected and gift cards were presented to their designers.

The top three posters have been printed and are available through EHS. If you are interested in a copy of one or more of the posters for display in your workplace please contact EHS at 831-8475. We encourage other Departments/Safety Committees to participate in next year’s competition and look forward to more, creative entries.
