Tick-Borne Disease

Ticks can carry a number of diseases, including Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis in our area. Many employees and students at the University may be at risk of exposure to tick bites through their work and activities. Below is information on the diseases, their prevention, and treatment. Lyme Disease awareness and prevention training is available through the Department of Occupational Health & Safety.
