Campus Tent Permit Procedures

Users seeking approval to utilize tents on campus need to complete an EHS/Tent Permit Request form at least two-weeks prior to the event in order to allow for coordination with the City of Newark Building Department Tent Permit Process on main campus, and the State Fire Marshal’s for other campus sites. EHS/Fire Staff will require a site plan, floor plan, proof of flame retardant tent material and other information found on the application form. EHS/Fire upon review and approval will coordinate submitting the plans and application to the code authority. Permit fees and pick-up are the requester’s responsibility.
