Fire Drills

Departmental Safety Committees are responsible for coordinating facility fire drills. The drills should be scheduled with Kevin McSweeney of Environmental Health and Safety. EHS will coordinate with Public Safety who will be responsible for sounding the alarm and monitoring the evacuation with the Safety Committee Chair and Facilities Electronics who resets the fire alarm system. Below is a memorandum describing fire drill frequencies for various building types and a sample memo you may use to announce the drill to your department members.
