First Aid Training Program

The Department of Environmental Health & Safety is pleased to be able to offer the American Heart Association's Heartsaver First Aid Training Program. This program instructs attendees in basic first aid. A CPR and AED component can be added if necessary. Contact EHS to setup and schedule a class.

  • Heartsaver First Aid - The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional topics include Environmental Emergencies.

  • Approximate course time: 2 1/2 hours.
  • Course Cost: $30.00 for First Aid only; $50.00 for First Aid and Heartsaver AED

  • Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid - The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, Fever and Suspected Abuse. This course is approved by Delacare for childcare providers. Please contact EHS if you want to schedule a class.
  • Approximate course time: 3 hours
  • Course Cost: $30.00 for First Aid only; $50.00 for First Aid and Heartsaver AED
