Rosalie Rolón-Dow is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. An ethnographer of education, she studies how race, ethnicity, gender and social class dynamics shape the educational opportunities and experiences of urban families. In particular, her work pays special attention to the experiences of Latino/a youth. Her teaching and research endeavors aim to address issues of educational (in) equity and seek to promote socially just educational practices and policies. She teaches courses in the Sociocultural Approaches to Education, Ph.D. specialization program, and Urban Education and Social Studies curriculum courses in the Elementary Teacher Education Program.  She previously taught elementary grades in a bilingual school in Pennsylvania.
