Gary Allison is Assistant Professor of Special Education at the University of Delaware. He serves as coordinator of the Autism Certification Program and is the advisor/mentor for the SCEC – the Student Council on Exceptional Children and Best Buddies – a mentoring program connecting college students and students with disabilities.
Dr. Allison works in area schools, private homes, and other caregiver settings. His work entails functional assessment and analysis resulting in behavior change and support plans for increasing functional, pro-social behavior while concurrently decreasing health/life threatening behaviors such as rumination, coprophagia, PICA, severe self-injury or self-mutilation and the like. He ia member in good standing of the Board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware. His work with the Epilepsy Foundation continues at the state and federal level as well as his active memberships in AAID, ICCBD, CEC, and DVABA.
