Professional Development
The professional development of teachers in Delaware is supported through various collaborations of the School of Education, the Department of Mathematical Sciences, the Mathematics & Science Education Resource Center, and the State Department of Education.
Professional development programs designed specifically for in-service teachers are provided by the Mathematics & Science Education Resource Center. Current projects include the following:
- School Based Teacher Leaders program (SBTL)
- Converging Curriculum program
- Powerful Pedagogical Practices program (P-cubed)

Continuing professional development for teachers in the region also is available through several master's degree programs. Programs with emphases in elementary, middle, or secondary school mathematics teaching are offered through the collaborative efforts of faculty in the School of Education and the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
