Housing for Graduate Students
If you are a full-time, graduate student you are eligible to live in Graduate Student and Family Housing as long as you are registered and in good academic standing at the University of Delaware.
Housing options include Conover Apartments (one and two bedroom apartments for single and married graduate students) and The Graduate House (a three story, seven bedroom house for single graduate students). If you are interested in applying for either of these housing options, submit an online application to (http://www.udel.edu/has/graduate/applic.html) and send a $200 check made payable to the "University of Delaware." If you do not currently reside in United States, please send any material air mail. Your online application is considered "received" on the date of your Web submission. Housing Assignment Services must receive your deposit within three weeks of the Web application date in order to process your request. Applying via the Web may increase your priority, since it is based upon the date of receipt of the application. If you are applying for family housing, legal documentation of family status is required, such as copies of marriage and/or birth certificates, or Power of Attorney statement.
Housing is not guaranteed. The chance that you will receive the option you request depends on the number of students requesting the same type of housing and the date your application and housing deposit are received. The Office of Housing and Residence Life begins making assignments in June. If your name is put on a waiting list, we will notify you by letter or e-mail. If a vacancy occurs, we will make an assignment from the waiting list according to the date the application and deposit were received and the availability of your housing preference.
