Transfer of Credits
University of Delaware regulations allow the transfer of up to nine credits of previously completed graduate courses from another university, plus up to nine credits of graduate courses taken as a non-matriculated student through the University of Delaware's Division of Continuing Education. These credits cannot have been previously used to satisfy degree requirements for either a graduate or undergraduate degree at UD or at any other institution. Each transfer request is examined on a case-by-case basis, during the student's first year, to evaluate whether the course is appropriate and equivalent to University of Delaware graduate work. Coursework more than five years prior to the first semester in which the student will be registered cannot be transferred. Transfer credits do not exempt students from core courses unless the program faculty approve a request for such an exemption
