Degree Completion Checklist

The following program requirements must be satisfied before you can graduate.

  1. Completion of the General Core Courses (12 credits)
  2. Completion of the Individualized Courses (18 credits)
  3. Completion of the Portfolio Course (1 credit)
  4. A positive evaluation of your written portfolio.
  5. Submission of the Portfolio Presentation Approval form.

Submit the Application for Advanced Degree form during the semester in which you plan to graduate. You can obtain this form online or in 113 Willard Hall. Complete the form (for major enter INSX, for concentration enter SLM if you are in School Library Media otherwise leave this field blank), attach a check for the required amount, obtain your advisor's signature, and return the form to Louise Stevens, 113 Willard Hall, University of Delaware, Newark, DE 19716.

 

Deadlines for submitting Application for Advanced Degree form :

  • September 15 for December graduation.
  • February 15 for May graduation, and
  • May 15 for August graduation.
 
It is university policy that you must be enrolled in a course during the semester in which you graduate. If you have completed all your coursework, you would enroll in UNIV 895 Master's Sustaining: Non-thesis. Contact Mary Martin to be enrolled in UNIV 895.
