DSSEP Home Page Think Pair Shares: Cooperative Learning Strategies

1. Select a question or topic (e.g. Should the electoral college be abolished?).


2. Give students time to think, and read, or write about the topic silently and independently.


3. Have students discuss the topic and share their thoughts in pairs. Then (optional), open the discussion to the whole class.
