About DSSEP

The Delaware Social Studies Education Project, is a social studies initiative, launched in 1999, by the Delaware Center for Teacher Education at the University of Delaware. Its goals are to:

  • Advance the status and quality of social studies education.
  • Locate and develop resources for teachers.
  • Identify and disseminate instructional materials aligned with the Delaware content standards.
  • Deliver quality professional development.
  • Keep educators informed about the latest developments in social studies.
