Sample Activities

 Students might compare the manner in which a head of state acquires power in different political systems (e.g., President of the United States, Chairman of the Communist Party in the People's Republic of China) [Government].

 Students could investigate the kinds of laws and regulations that local, state, and federal governments enact. Given a list of possible laws, students would break up into groups and research which level of government was the appropriate one to deal with the issues [Government].
