Lifestyles> Vegetarian and Vegan Options

As the University of Delaware and the members of the UD community become more and more diverse, Dining Services has adapted to try and accommodate the lifestyles and eating habits of those customers by providing the best possible dining solutions possible.

We have recognized the increasing demand for vegan/vegetarian options on campus and have begun to improve upon these selections – both in the quantity and quality of the menu items being offered. This summer we took another very large step in trying to meet the needs of this growing population of students, faculty and staff.

Some of the highlights include:

  • new Vegan/Vegetarian and International Cuisine station at both Pencader and Russell Dining Halls with continued service of Vegan/Vegetarian options at Rodney and Kent Dining Halls
  • addition of Veggie Bowl to the menu at Kent Dining Hall
  • introduction of Café Spice, a vegetarian Indian cuisine concept being offered from the new Fusion: Cultured Cuisine station in the Trabant Food Court
  • vegetarian pasta offerings at the expanded Bene Pizzeria station in Trabant Food Court

We encourage all of our guests to try some of these great new options that are available at our residential and retail dining locations. As with all of our enhancements, we hope that we meet and exceed the expectations of our guests and continue to raise the bar of our dining program to new heights.
