UD Initiative Fund
As an unrestricted source of income to support the University's most urgent
priorities, the UD Initiative Fund helps the University meet the challenges
and opportunities of providing a quality education.
Center for the Arts
www.udel.edu/PR/cfa
Gifts directed towards the Center for the Arts will help advance our music
and theater programs and will provide the University with superior performing
arts venues. Thanks to the support of alumni and friends, the Center will
be in operation this fall semester. The Center contains public performance
venues and improved practice spaces for music and theater plus a large
practice hall to accommodate the Blue Hen Marching Band. The primary public
performance spaces include a 200-seat recital hall, a 450-seat proscenium
theater, and a 300-seat orchestra recital hall.
In addition to serving the University,
the Center for the Arts will provide access to a variety of music, theater
and other performance programs for children, families, school groups,
and the general public in our larger community.
Naming opportunities still exist for the
Center for the Arts, starting at $1,000 for seats in the Recital Hall
or in the Proscenium Theater. Limited additional opportunities to name
a music practice room or other specialty space in the facility remain
available. For more information, please contact Kevin McCullen, Director
of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences, by e-mail at mccullen@udel.edu
or by phone at (302) 831-4949.
Library

As the most significant resource for scholarship and research, the University of Delaware Library is the center of the
academic community, providing print, electronic and rare materials and related services that are used constantly by students,
faculty and staff. Contributions help ensure the Library.s continued presence as the chief academic resource of the UD
community and a leader in bringing electronic information resources to users. Gifts to the Library will help ensure that the
students, faculty and staff have access to the most extensive electronic research resources and unique special collections
for education and research.
Naming opportunities still exist for the Morris Library including the Student Multimedia Design Center, the Information Room,
group study rooms, individual library research studies, and more. For more information contact Susan Brynteson, the May
Morris Director of Libraries, by e-mail at susanb@udel.edu or
by phone at (302) 831-2231.
