The Diamond Walkway
The Diamond Walkway was created to recognize in perpetuity individuals who make significant contributions to the University of Delaware. The Walkway features large, gray pavers forming diamond shapes in the center, surrounded by engraved red bricks personalized with the names of members of the Delaware Diamonds Society and the Legacy Society. The Walkway extends from the brick gateway on Main Street to the front steps of venerable Old College, the first building of Delaware College. Members will receive a brick in The Diamond Walkway at which time personal giving reaches $5,000 over the course of a maximum of five consecutive years. Each fall, the names of new members are added to The Diamond Walkway, and members are provided with their brick location. To have your brick in place by Homecoming Weekend in October, your gift should be received by June 30, the end of the University’s fiscal year.
