Working with Students with Disabilities

The University of Delaware is committed to providing reasonable and timely academic accommodations for students with disabilities. Should you have a student teacher who has been identified with a disability, please inform he Director of Clinical Studies immediately. The Director of Clinical Studies will assist you and the student in obtaining reasonable accommodations, as necessary, to help the student to have a successful student teaching experience.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Office

The ADA Office serves as a campus resource and advocate for students with disabilities (other than learning disabilities and ADD/ADHAD) and advises students, faculty and staff about reasonable accommodations.

Learning Disabilities/ADD/ADHD

The Academic Services Center provides special accommodations for students with learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD). The office is located in the George Evans House at 5 West Main Street (831-1639).
